In a significant development following the tragic shooting incident on the Jaipur-Mumbai train earlier this week, the Government Railway Police (GRP) is contemplating the use of a narco test on Railway Police Constable (RPF) Chetan Singh. Singh, who fired upon the train, has reportedly been providing conflicting statements during the interrogation, leading investigators to suspect he may be hiding crucial information.

A senior GRP officer stated, "Accused Chetan Singh is not cooperating with the investigation and has been deceptive in altering his statements." The authorities are determined to explore all avenues to ascertain the true motive behind Singh's actions and the factors that led to the unfortunate deaths of RPF ASI Teekaram Meena and three passengers aboard the express.

The victims of the shooting have been identified as RPF ASI Teekaram Meena, Abdul Kadarbhai Mohammed Hussain Bhanpurwala, and Asgar Abbas Sheikh. However, the identity of the fourth victim remains unknown. The incident has sparked concerns, and the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of the Mumbai Police is investigating a potential racial angle after a viral video surfaced, showing an RPF officer lecturing passengers about Pakistan, media, and politics.

Furthermore, it has been revealed that prior to the shooting, Constable Singh attempted to choke his colleague, Ghanshyam Acharya, about an hour before the tragic incident. According to Acharya's statement, Singh expressed a desire to disembark the train, citing feelings of illness.

Reports suggest that Singh had recently been transferred from the Bhavnagar division to Mumbai. He leaves behind his parents, wife, and two children.
